Many people suffer unnecessarily from seasonal allergies, while there are some simple natural remedies that can be a huge impact. Natural remedies may not be as immediately effective as traditional medicine, but when used long term, they will lessen the effect that the changes of seasons has on your sinuses. It is important to remember that overall health and diet have a huge impact on allergies, so getting exercise and making healthy choices will benefit your allergies in the long run. Here are some natural allergy remedies to help ease your suffering.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar has long been recommended for several health conditions. It was used by Hippocrates, to treat sick patients. Organic raw apple cider vinegar can benefit the immune system, control weight, and provide healthy skin and hair. Apple cider vinegar promotes alkalinity and PH balance throughout the body, which is why it works great as a natural remedy for allergies.

Organic raw apple cider vinegar is not filtered, heated, or pasteurized. Looking at a container of apple cider vinegar, you are able to see floating strands in the liquid, which is the living enzymes that fight off infection and re-balance your body.

The best way to treat allergies with apple cider vinegar is to do it consistently. Mix 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar with 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice, and 1/2 tablespoon of raw bees honey. Drink this three times each day. This mixture will eventually balance out your gastrointestinal tract and build up natural defenses against allergies.

Raw Local Honey

Raw honey has bee pollen in it, which helps to fight infections, fight allergies, and boost immunity. Consider the fact that the bees around you are going from flower to flower and picking up the pollen that is causing allergies. Eating local raw honey that is made from the same flowers builds up your immunity to the pollen in your area.

Lemons

Drinking alkaline substances makes the body have better immune function and balance. Lemons are great at boosting the immune system and are commonly used for allergies. Lemon is loaded with Vitamin C and antioxidants. Sipping on lemon water throughout the day helps to detoxify the body and get rid of impurities.

You can pair this natural remedy with other medications during thick periods of pollen. Using an additional traditional medication in addition to drinking lemon water can help benefit you even more.

Traditional allergy medicines, like Dymista, can also help to reduce nasal symptoms like stuffy nose, itching, runny nose, and sneezing.

There are several natural remedies that you can use in place of, or in addition to, traditional medicine for allergies. Try going all natural during allergy season and see how far it gets you and then add in medication if necessary.
