For parents who don’t want to buy girl dolls that made wearing loads of makeup and full of glitz and glam…a great alternative has been made and can be found at Tree Change Dolls.
Tree Change Dolls™ takes old discarded toys and gives them a new lease on life.
These dolls have opted for a “tree change” where they get to swap ‘high-maintenance glitz ‘n’ glamour for down-to-earth style.’
The creator of these dolls is Sonia Singh, she is an artist, illustrator, scientist and science communicator based in Hobart, Tasmania. All by hand, Sonia repaints the dolls faces and molds new shoes while her mom sews and knits their clothing.
Thank you Sonia for making a change and for doing it in such an earth-friendly way!
