What Your Egyptian Zodiac Sign Says About Your Life? The Accuracy Will Stun You!
The Egyptian Zodiac is something of legend. There are 12 signs, just like the Zodiac we know and love so well, and there are certain attributes that are associated with each sign. Fine, nothing too crazy, right?
Well, the Egyptians were exceptionally astute when it came to astronomy, cosmology, and the esoteric. They were in touch with the world, the powers that run underneath everything, and the stars. I mean, thousands of years studying the movement of the Earth from a desert? You’d probably know a thing or two, as well.
Each sign in the Zodiac of the Egyptians was associated with a God. This God wasn’t just who you got your killer abs from, he/she was also the one you turned to in time of crisis because your traits were more aligned with them. If you needed protection, and your birthday fell under that of Set’s rule, then you turned to Set. Pretty straight forward, yeah?
Here’s a rundown to explain a bit more about each sign. Dates are looked upon differently in Egypt…Zodiac signs correspond to weeks, not months. See if you think it works for your thinking and what you believe of your life to be!
THE NILE
(January 1 – 7, June 19 – 28, September 1 – 7, November 18 – 26)
This is the very first sign of the zodiac and, just like Aries, it is a sign born anew. The world is your oyster, and you know it. Similar to Arians, those who are born under this sign are usually passionate. They want to take life by the horns and live it, not excuses for not doing so. This might seem way too similar to Aries, but there are differences. If born under the sign of the Nile, you’d typically avoid altercations and conflict with other people, not start them.
Most compatible with: Set and Amon-Ra
AMON RA
(January 8 – 21, February 1 – 11)
This is the second sign of the zodiac. Again, unlike the Tropical Zodiac, you’ll see that the second week in January is ruled by Amon Ra. If you were to compare it to Taurus, however, you’d see a difference. Not stubborn, but definitely born to be leaders, and confident about the things that they do. This does take the same sort of grounding that Taurians are known for, as being an inspiration to others also requires a certain steadiness. Being born under Amon Ra, you would also known known as a motivator because you can be successful in changing other people’s lives. Pretty rad!
Most Compatible with: Nile and Horus
MUT
(January 21 – 31, September 8 – 22)
Being born under Mut will lead you in the direction of mothering, nurturing and caring for other people. Unlike the third sign of Gemini, having Mut as your God, you will be very logical about the decisions you make. No going back and forth, and no pandering. You will always consider the practical side of things before making conclusions. Hey, and if you’re born under this sign, you might do well in a profession requiring such balance. Think law, counseling, and possibly even teaching!
Most compatible with: Thor and Amon-Ra
GEB
(February 12 – 19, August 20 – 31)
This is a naturally intuitive sign, very much like Cancer in the same position. And just as with Cancer, it’s all about the feels, man. You will most like make choices depending on what you feel is right, not necessarily what others think is. You may also be highly concerned about the environment and the things that are happening to the world. Bombs in Afghanistan? Starving kids in Bangladesh? Floods in Houston? You will want to go help out, or do what you can because you will be greatly affected when things go wrong.
Most compatible with: Horus and Set
OSIRIS
(March 1 – 10, November 27 – December 18)
And then we come back to Gemini-like personalities, but in a position that would normally house Leo. That’s because you are more than likely to have two types of personalities if you were born during the reign of Osiris. One side will be confident and steady, doing everything to reach goals in life. The other will be vulnerable and likely to want to curl up away from everyone. You may get hurt easily because of this back and forth. You may also just wish to keep the two sides together because it’s too split apart in your mind. Good news? You’ll be good at getting back on track after taking a fall.
Most compatible with: Isis and Thoth
ISIS
(March 11 – 31, October 18 – 29, December 19 – 31)
This sign is actually back in line with the Tropical Zodiac–Isis is similar to Virgo in many ways, indeed. One thing is that you will be very straightforward and exacting. You will tell people exactly what you think, and there won’t be any beating the bush to get there. You will also be very protective of the people you love. The difference? You’ll actually be very playful and energetic, unlike Virgoans.
Most compatible with: Thoth and Osiris
THOTH
(April 1 – 19, November 8 – 17)
This is a sign of wisdom and strength. If born under the Rule of Thoth, you may have an exceptional memory, which may lead to trouble. You’ll be aware of those who have done you wrong, as well as good, perhaps for the rest of your life. Similar to Libras you will be very romantic, and searching for an ever-time partner. This isn’t a bad thing, though. You will be a great person to talk to, and your wisdom will come across, making those around you trust you and take you for your word.
Most compatible with: Isis and Bastet
HORUS
(April 20 – May 7, August 12 – 19)
Unlike Scorpio in the same position, if you were under this sign, you will be known for your optimism. Like Scorpio, you will know that you can do whatever it is you desire, because you have the courage and faith. You will seek out security and want to be the best you cane be. In order to do this, you know it will take work, and so you do that work because the pay off is a good life. Don’t get confused, though. Horus is not a God to mess with. He is the creator and God of the Sky, and he will smite you if you do him wrong.
Most compatible with: Bastet and Geb
ANUBIS
(May 8 – 27, June 29 – July 13)
Those who are born under the God of Anubis will always be searching for that “alone time.” This is because being alone helps put things into perspective, and that’s essential for them to maintain a healthy life. If this is you, you may also feel compelled to search out places that are peaceful—very much like a Sagittarius. You may feel this compulsion your whole life. The balance you seek out there helps you maintain an even head, even if emotions run high. Good on yah!
Most compatible with: Isis and Bastet
SET
(May 28 – June 18, September 28 – October 2)
This is a sign that would be the an ideal traveler. You may even be one and think that you don’t understand why until you read this! This is because Set ruled the ever changing and traveling weather of the desert. You may also be a perfectionist (like the Capricorn of the same position), and be driven to get things done exactly. You will want to do the best you can do, and see your perfect world become a reality. Good luck!
Most compatible with: Nile and Geb
BASTET
(July 14 – 28, September 23 – 27, October 3 – 17)
This is the sign that describes those who feel like they “know what’s going to happen.” Yes, intuition is what you’ll base most of your decisions on, and you will probably understand what others want before they even say it. You will be interested in those things that others would shiver at…Pentagrams, crystals, and spells. It’s hard to not be drawn to those things that encourage you to look deeper within yourself. Huh…kind of like those born under Aquarius.
Most compatible with: Horus and Sekhmet
SEKHMET
(July 29 – August 11, October 30 – November 7)
Last sign of the Zodiace represents! If you were born under Sekhmet, you will be down to earth, reliable, and will probably make a big difference in people’s lives. You will be a natural born leader and want to seek out the fairest solution possible, making lots of friends (and maybe enemies?) along the way. You might become a Big-Wig CEO, or just run the local School Board, but either way, people will turn to your for guidance. Not very Pisces like, but that’s not what it’s supposed to be!
Most compatible with Bastet and Geb
