White lion and white tiger had babies together and they’re the most adorable things on Earth
We have winners from the cutest cub pageant! And these adorable wild fur babies are winning the Internet and heart the world over.
Meet tiger-lion hybrids Yeti, Odlin, Sampson, and Apollo. They can’t help but be the cutest wild cat children around and they can roar their way into your heart.
Look at those adorable faces:
Their parents — Ivory, a white lion, and Saraswati, a white tiger — belong to one of the rarest species in the world. There are about 300 white lions and about 1200 white tigers in the world as of now.
As for lion-tiger crossbreeds (or ligers), there are just about a 1000 all over the world. Most of them live in captivity.
Here’s the couple of the hour — Ivory and Saraswati.
Both the proud parents are inhabitants of the T.I.G.E.R. Sanctuary, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. And their handlers are amazed by how fast these little balls of fur are growing up.
According to the founder of T.I.G.E.R. sanctuary, Dr. Antle the cubs gain about one pound a day in weight. He told The Daily Mail, “I skip a day seeing them and it looks like they’ve doubled in size. It’s like someone’s blowing them up with a tire pump.”
Having the best of both genes, the cubs are sociable like lions and love swimming like tigers. Each of them has a unique personality, Apollo, being the smallest, is most like a house cat who loves it when his handlers cuddle and pet him.
Yeti — the biggest and most boisterous one — is a total star and loves to be the center of attention.
Dr. Antle predicts the four of them to be at least 10 feet tall and weigh 750 pounds by the time they’re two-years-old. But they’ll surely be just as cute even if they get that big!
